Over the last couple of months I have had some cameras follow me around for a NHK World documentary about me and my life in Japan. Here are a few behind the scenes shots from the first time they where here a month ago. Two days in Misawa and one day on the Mountain at Hakkoda. Its quite a production and I can't imagine editing all the hours of footage that they have filmed, and breaking it down into a 30 minute program. The documentary will air sometime at the end of March or early April on NHK World in English. Or you can also watch it on jibtv.com as they live stream all the TV Programs worldwide. More pictures coming in part 2 of filming in a few days as we just finished up an Epic week at Hakkoda. Really stoked on the project and can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Last week I had a crew in from Sweden. Theses guys ripped and really enjoyed Hakkoda. Probably some of the deepest days they will ever have. Here are a few photos from the very 2 different days we had together. The best part about Guiding has been meeting people from all over the world who love POWder as much as I do. Here's to the Swedes... Cheers!

Yesterday Mukai-san and I went for a little scouting and split mission. Splitboarding is much faster than snowshoeing when touring in the Backcountry. I think we hit the Jackpot on our scouting mission. Endless ridges with professional film worthy pillow lines around ever corner. Now we just need a fresh big dump to clean up the faces and its on. I can't wait to go back to this zone to explore more and take some fresh turns. More to come from Location X.

Last week I had the chance to shred with Neil Hartmann and some of his Car Danchi Stars: UE and Mino. Here is a little slice of what we where up to. I am sure you will see a little bit of a Hakkoda part in the next installment of Car Danchi 6? Super fun 4 man crew taking laps at Hakkoda. Enjoy.

The First picture was from my morning view out the Hakkoda Sanso. Yes, Hakkoda is have another great year.
Day 2 was more of the same as the South East winds do not far well for the Ropeway operating. The lift was our only access today. Which felt really unsafe at time. Still plenty of fun zones to shred with a super fun crew. Thanks to Q and Neil Hartmann for making this trip super special.
For more Pictures check out------->Neil's BLog , Q's Blog and Hiroshi Fujiwara Blog and stay tuned for more updates on this trip in days and weeks to come.
I was invited by Q to join a group at Hakkoda for shredding and good company. So stoked to be apart of this crew for a couple of days. Yesterday was DEEEEP and storming all day. As always at Hakkoda it never disappoints, the ropeway was shut down at 1130. That didn't stop our powder hungry crew getting massive face shots throughout the afternoon. Even got to show UE, Mino and Neil my private pow stash, which was absolutely destroyed by days end. Here's to another day at Hakkoda.
