Robby Days at Hakkoda

My good friend that I grew up with came to Japan for a quick 4 day trip and timed it prefect with the snow and weather.  The first day of riding was typical Hakkoda white out conditions and the second day was all time sunny and snow conditions.  Good times followed by Onsens, sushi, ramen, and Beers! Good to see you old friend. Heres to making dreams.

Hakkoda Diaries Episode Six: #90cm

It's been a deep week to say the least.  It snowed around a foot a night for 5 days straight and last night it snowed around 3 feet. Almost too much snow...almost.  This could be another all time season in Japan.

Spring time split.

Spring time in the Hakkoda's means lots of hiking and splitboarding.  This past weekend was Hot!  We hiked from Yachi Onsen up to Takadaodake, rode the Northeast face down to the foot Onsen near Hinadake. Really steep turns and great corn snow.  Plenty of snow left in the Hakkoda's!

Cover boy

If you get a chance check out this current issue of Outdoor Japan Magazine. I got the cover photo featuring my friend Mukai-san. To read the article inside click here-------> http://www.outdoorjapan.com/issue-43-spring-2012  on page 37.  Thanks again to Gardner at OJ for the cover and the story inside as it outlines the NHK World Documentary about our life here in Japan. Really stoked on this and all the positive feedback we have been getting on the Documentary.

Haqoouuuuuuuuda Tour Day 2

The First picture was from my morning view out the Hakkoda Sanso. Yes, Hakkoda is have another great year.

Day 2 was more of the same as the South East winds do not far well for the Ropeway operating.  The lift was our only access today. Which felt really unsafe at time. Still plenty of fun zones to shred with a super fun crew. Thanks to Q and Neil Hartmann for making this trip super special.

For more Pictures check out------->Neil's BLog , Q's Blog and Hiroshi Fujiwara Blog and stay tuned for more updates on this trip in days and weeks to come.
